Present Conditional
Used to talk about real or possible situations in the present or future.
Past Conditional
Used to discuss situations that were possible but did not occur in the past.
Zero Conditional
Used for general truths and laws of nature; structure: if + present simple, present simple.
First Conditional
Describes real and possible future situations; structure: if + present simple, will + base verb.
Second Conditional
Describes unlikely but possible present or future situations; structure: if + past simple, would + base verb.
Third Conditional
Describes impossible past situations; structure: if + past perfect, would have + past participle.
If Clause
The part of a conditional sentence that states the condition.
Main Clause
The part of a conditional sentence that states the result or outcome.
Habitable
Refers to the capability of an environment to support life.
Geyser
A natural hot spring that periodically ejects water and steam into the air.
