Before doing oil change, let engine run and get oil warmed up before doing oil change.

Pop the hood and check all fluids under the hood. Top off fluids if needed.

Check all tire pressure and air tires if needed. Look on the inside drivers. door for the correct tire pressure.

Place arms under the car where you think it needs to be lifted from.

Call for instructors to check the lift.

Bring over the black drain pan and place it under the engines oil pan.

Locate the drain plug.

Find the correct size socket to fit drain plug.

Remove the drain plug using the socket and breaker bar make sure pan is under oil pan.

Let the oil drain all the way out.

Inspect the gasket on the drain plug.

Locate the oil filter and remove it using the oil filter wrench. Let the oil drain out.

Place the oil filter in the black drain pan upside down and leave it there to drain the oil out of the filter.

Get the new oil filter and match it up to the one that came off. Make sure the threads and gasket size look the same and match up.

Lubricate the gasket with oil.

If the oil filter is upside down, fill filter with new oil hand tight.

Re-install the oil filter back onto the vehicle.

Torque the oil filter back onto the vehicle. (brake clean to clean).

Have instructors to check work.

Lower the car. Using a funnel, pour 4 quarts in the oil filter located on the valve cover. (Put in latch)

Check the dipstick to see if you are reading oil in the crankcase. If do not read oil on the dipstick, put another quart in and check again. Keep doing this until you are getting oil on dip stick.

Start the vehicle and let it run for about 30 seconds.

Check to see the oil light (red genie lamp light) goes out on the dash. Then check under the car and look for drips while the car is running.

Shut the engine off and let it sit for a couple minutes. Check the oil dipstick for proper oil level.

Top off the oil and using the dipstick, make sure oil level is at the proper level. (Black Cabnet)

Get an oil change sticker and using a marker, write down the mileage for the next oil change. Take their current mileage and add 3000 miles/3 months to it and write that down on the sticker. Place sticker on the upper left inside windshield. (new cars do not need the stocker).
