To take over without permission (like what Austria did to Bosnia)

Glorification of military strength

Ultimatum

To make a demand (Austria makes demands on Serbia after the murder of the archduke)

Mobilize

To position or move your military for war (Like Russia did after Austria declared war on Serbia)

Neutrality

A policy of refusing to support either side (Belgium was until Germany invaded)

Aggressor

One that starts the attack

Total war

When everything is committed to winning the war

Rationing

When government limits the goods you can buy

Propaganda

One-sided information used to convince people to think a certain way

A specially equipped fleet or group

Abdicate

To resign as a ruler(Like the Czar Nicholas II of Russia will do in 1917
