Narrative Outline: Describing a Neighborhood

1. Tell where you live.

• Kind of residence, what city or district?

• For how long and with who?

2. Tell what your neighborhood is like.

• Type of neighborhood or area.

• What is nearby and convenient?

• Who lives in the neighborhood?

3. Tell what is next to your residence.

• Tell where and name the facility or building.

• Add information about the facility, building, or who lives there.

• If you mention who lives there, give an opinion.

4. Tell what you like and don’t like about the area.

• Noise level

• Safety Level

• Traffic level

• Level of cleanliness

• Activity level

• Cost of living

5. Tell about future plans.

Use an RH-Q once in an appropriate place (i.e., something that would require emphasis). 

• Examples:
