Palpable mass in inguinal canal

Embryonal Cell Carcinoma S&S

Palpable testicular mass, rarely painful; possible elevated hCG

Hypoechoic, may have echogenic areas or shadowing calcification

Epidermoid Cyst S&S

Palpable testicular mass

Solid hypoechoic intratestiular mass, usually with concentric hyperechoic layers

Epididymal Cyst S&S

Painless extratesticular scrotal mass

Round or oval lesion predominantly anechoic, with enhancement, possible layering, possibly multiple

Epididymitis S&S

Scrotal pain, possible fever, discharge, usually elevated WBC, UTI

Epididymitis Sonographic Findings

Enlarged epididymis with decreased echogenicity, hyperemia, hydrocele

Hernia S&S

Swollen scrotum, pain

Hernia Sonographic Findings

Scrotal mass with variable echogenicity pattern; peristaltic motion may be identified

Hydrocele S&S

General scrotal enlargement

Hydrocele Sonographic Findings

Fluid collection anterolateral to or surrounding testis

Infarction S&S

Testicular pain, history of inflammation, torsion or trauma
