Differences between packed and capillary column

Capillary- long (lengths up to 100m) and small internal diameter. Packed- shorter (max 2m) and have larger diameter

Capillary- made from quartz. Packed- made from glass

Capillary- stationary phase coats the inner wall. Packed- stationary phase is packed into the cavity of the column.
