how can you increase the amount of oxygen in the blood? why would this be appealing to athletes?

in order to increase the amount of oxygen in the blood an increased heart rate is need. This causes you to breathe harder which leads to more blood being circulated. Another way is to increase elevation and over time EPO levels in your body will rise, so more new red blood cells will be made. This is appealing to athletes because it is more beneficial to their training to have more blood cells.

how does the shape of the arteries affect the blood flow? what is the shape of the newly designed stent?

when arteries are a straight line blood flow is constricted. but when arteries are curved or have twists blood flow is better. this is because it is easier for blood to circulate with curves as ween in the heart. the new stent design is in the shape of a helix rather than being straight.

what can make the body produce “natural killer cells”? what was the relative increase in Michael’s body?

in order to produce those cells you should do something stressful. natural killer cells respond to psychological stress. there was a 50% increase in proportion of killer cells in the bloodstream. this causes the immune system to be mobilized and alert. the immune system is ready just in case of infection, danger, etc
