APRIL IN CHAPTER ONE : REV ROAD

It didn’t even matter that bearing two children had left her

a shade too heavy in the hips ad thighs

She had attended one of the

leading dramatic schools

she seemed ideally

cast in the role

patrician kind

of beauty

a little later there were hopeful nudges

and whispers of shes good

she had begun to alternate between false theatrical

gestures and a white knuckled immobility
