Intertextuality
A literary technique that shows the relationship between texts and their influences on one another.
Allusion

Appropriation

Parody
A humorous or satirical imitation of a particular genre or work, often to comment on or critique the original.

The time and place in which the story takes place.

Components of drama that include characters, plot, setting, conflict, and theme.
Fictional character
A person, animal, or entity created from the imagination, which plays a role in storytelling.
Thematic message
The central idea or underlying message conveyed by a literary work.
