How does geography play a role in shaping someone’s political socialization?

Depending on where you live, perhaps in a state like Vermont (first one to legalize same-sex marriage), you will likely develop a liking to that decision and create a political ideology.

Another example is the South, which is influenced by conservative Christian values. This will definitely influence someone who’s Christian to be more conservative.
