路 Just as a typical calendar has holidays, solemn days, commemorative days, and days that are just average the liturgical year calendar of the church uses similar terms and measurements. It shows us that ultimately God brings life and goodness out of the suffering and death (like we see when spring emerges from winter.
Know some basic information (including associated colors) about these liturgical seasons:
Advent: purple preparing for Jesus to come into all of our hearts and be born
Christmas: white: from Christmas eve to baptism of the lord - celebration of the nativity
Lent: purple - prayer, fasting almsgiving
The Paschal Triduum: white and gold - holy Thursday, good Friday, easter vigil Saturday or good Friday, holy Saturday, and easter Sunday
Easter: white/gold
Ordinary Time: green

What is the purpose of the Liturgical Calendar
Not to mark the passage of time but to celebrate and understand more fully the entire muster of Jesus Christ, from his incarnation and birth until his ascension, the day of Pentecost, and the expectation of his return to glory.
What does the Paschal Mystery have to do with the liturgical seasons?
During the course of a year, the paschal mystery: the passion death resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, is viewed from four different angles and in different lights. It shows us that ultimately God brings life and goodness out of the suffering and death (like we see when spring emerges from winter.

The rosary is a devotion in honor of Mary. It consists of a set of a number of specific prayers while holding a stringed repeated pattern of beads. They prayers can also be accompanied by meditation on the mysteries.
Why do we pray with beads?
When we pray one prayer we are touching one bead, it becomes automatic and allows the person to keep the track of prayers said without conscious effort and allows the person to focus on the prayers themselves. It can become very meditative
