مَوۡٮِٕلاً

an escape

لَآ أَبۡرَحُ

I will not cease

أَبۡلُغَ

I reach

أَمۡضِىَ حُقُبًا

i continue a long period of time

نَسِيَا حُوتَهُمَا

they forgot the fish

سَرَبًا

slipping away

جَاوَزَا

they had passed beyond

نَصَبًا

fatigue

أَوَيۡنَآ إِلَى ٱلصَّخۡرَةِ

we retired to the rock

نَبۡغِ‌ۚ

seeking

فَٱرۡتَدَّا

so they returned

عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَارِهِمَا قَصَصًا

retracing their footprints

رَحۡمَةً مِّنۡ عِندِنَا

Mercy from Us

مِن لَّدُنَّا عِلۡمًا

from Us knowledge

رُشۡدًا

of the right guidance

مَا لَمۡ تُحِطۡ بِهِۦ خُبۡرًا

what not you encompass of it any knowledge

وَلَآ أَعۡصِى لَكَ أَمۡرًا

and not will I disobey any of your orders

أُحۡدِثَ لَكَ مِنۡهُ ذِكۡرًا

I present to you of it a mention

خَرَقَهَا‌ۖ

he made a hole in it

شَيۡـًٔا إِمۡرًا

a grave thing

لَا تُؤَاخِذۡنِى

do not blame me

وَلَا تُرۡهِقۡنِى

and do not be hard upon me

شَيۡـًٔا نُّكۡرًا

an evil thing

مِن لَّدُنِّى عُذۡرًا

from me an excuse

يُرِيدُ أَن يَنقَضَّ

wanted to collapse
