Oral Resonance
Resonance produced with a closed VP port, as in the production of the /t/ and /b/ sounds in 'tube'.
Lingua-alveolar
Place of articulation involving the tongue and the alveolar ridge, as in the /t/ sound in 'tube'.
Stop-plosive
Manner of production where airflow is stopped and then suddenly released, as in /t/ and /b/.
Bilabial
Place of articulation involving both lips, like the /b/ sound.
Orbicularis Oris
Primary muscle responsible for labial seal.
Mentalis Muscle
Muscle that provides extra force for lip closure and wrinkles the chin.
Mandible
Lower jaw, moved by muscles of mastication.

Muscle primarily responsible for elevation/retraction of the velum.
Tensor Veli Palatini
Muscle that opens the Eustachian Tube.
Musculus Uvulae
Muscle that bunches up when contracted, shortening the soft palate.
