U.S. Secret Service
Relocated from the Department of the Treasury to DHS in 2002. Provides protective services for key members of the U.S. government and safeguards the nation’s financial infrastructure and payment systems to preserve economic integrity.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Primary U.S. law enforcement agency. Investigates both traditional crimes and cybercrimes. Works with the U.S. Attorney’s Office to prosecute suspects under federal law (U.S. Code).
FBI Cyber Crime Division
