Perforated State
The state in which surrounds an enclave eg. South Africa, Italy
Compact State
A state in which from the center, it is equidistant to any part of the border eg. Poland, Romania
Protruded State
A state in which has a normal sized part but has a part that protrudes out from it eg. Thailand, Namibia
Elongated State
A state that is thin and long in shape eg. Vietnam, Norway
Fragmented State
A state that is separated into parts because of a physical or human barrier and is not a whole eg. Japan, U.S., Denmark
Bifurcated State
A state that is cut up into two equal parts eg. Malaysia, Michigan
Exclave
A part of a state that is cut off from the rest (sometimes even lying within the boundaries of another state) eg. Kaliningrad, Alaska
Enclave
A small, usually homogeneous region or group surrounded by another large region or group (perforated state) eg. Lesotho, Vatican City
