Lung Points Locations

LU-1 (front-mu)

6 cun lateral to the anterior middling level the first intercostal space ; 1 cun below lung 2 

LU-2

6 cun lateral to the anterior midline, below the clavicle in a depression medial to the coracoid process

LU-3

3 cun below the end of the axillary fold, on the radial side of the m. biceps brachii

LU-4

4 cun below the end of the axillary fold, on the radial side of the m. biceps brachii (1 cun below LU-3)

LU-5 (He-Sea : water of the metal channel)

On the cubital crease, in the depression of the radial of the tendon of m. biceps brachii.  This point is located with the elbow slightly flexed.

LU-6 (Xi-Cleft)

On the palmar aspect of the forearm, on the line joining Taiyuan (LU 9) and Chize (LU 5), 7 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist. 

LU-7 (Lou-connecting, confluent points activates qi of ren mai, command point of nape and neck, exit point )

Superior to the styloid process of the radius, 1.5 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist 

LU-8 (Jing-River metal point)

1 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist in the depression on the lateral side of the radial artery. 

LU-9 (Yuan Source point Influential point of the vessels and Earth point)

At the radial end of the transverse crease of the wrist, in the depression on the lateral side of the radial artery.

LU-10 (Ying-spring: clear heat; fish belly)

On the radial aspect of the midpoint of the first metacarpal bone, on the junction of the red and white skin

LU-11(Jing-well: revives consciousness)

On the radial side of the thumb, about 0.1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail
