Energy Wave
Self-propagating waves of electric and magnetic fields that carry energy and momentum.
Sound
vibrations that travel through the air or another medium and can be heard when they reach a person's or animal's ear.
Vibrations
rapid, back-and-forth movements of particles around an equilibrium point
Speaker
the presiding officer in a legislative assembly, especially the House of Representatives.
Electromagnetic Force
one of the four fundamental forces, governing interactions between electrically charged particles, combining electric and magnetic effects into one unified force mediated by photons, responsible for holding atoms together, creating light, and driving electricity and magnetism, attracting opposite charges (protons and electrons) while repelling like charges (protons with protons, electrons with electrons)
Crest
the top of something (like a wave or hill), a decorative emblem (especially in heraldry on helmets), a showy growth on an animal's head, or the brand of oral hygiene products
Trough
a long, narrow, open container for animal feed/water, a channel for water (like a gutter), or any long, low depression (like between waves)
Wavelength
the distance between successive crests of a wave, especially points in a sound wave or electromagnetic wave.
Amplitude
the extent, size, or magnitude of something
Frequency
the rate of a repeating event per unit of time
Rest line
"Restline" can refer to various products, most commonly Restline Premium Bedding for bed bug mattress encasements, or a WordPress theme for massage/spa businesses, but it might also be a typo for Restylane, a popular dermal filler brand, or Restlinens, a bedding company. Context is key, but often relates to sleep, protection, or booking services.
Pitch
the highness or lowness of a sound (frequency), the angle or steepness (like a roof or propeller), a short sales presentation for an idea, the act of throwing in sports (especially baseball), or even the playing field in soccer
Echolocation
a biological sonar system where animals emit sounds and interpret the returning echoes to navigate, hunt, and identify objects, especially in darkness or murky water
Volume
the amount of 3D space an object occupies or a container can hold
Compression Wave
disturbances where particles in a medium (solid, liquid, or gas) oscillate back and forth parallel to the wave's direction of travel, creating alternating regions of high pressure (compressions) and low pressure (rarefactions)
Wave speed
how fast a wave travels, calculated by multiplying its wavelength (λ) by its frequency (f), or v = λf, measured in meters per second (m/s)
Medium
the intervening substance through which impressions are conveyed to the senses or a force acts on objects at a distance.
Thunder
.
a loud rumbling or crashing noise heard after a lightning flash due to the expansion of rapidly heated air.
