Ovary

The organ that produces egg cells and female sex hormones.

Vulva

The external parts of the female reproductive system.

Vagina

The muscular tube where menstrual blood and baby leave the body. The penis is inserted here during sexual intercourse to deliver sperm.

Urethral Opening

The tube through which urine leaves the body.

Labia Majora

The larger, outer folds of skin that cover and protect the female reproductive system.

Labia Minora

The smaller, inner folds of skin that cover and protect the female reproductive system.

Clitoris

The highly sensitive organ responsible for pleasure during sexual intercourse.

Fallopian Tubes

The pair of tubes, connecting the ovaries and uterus through which the egg travels after ovulation.

Cervix

The lowest part of the uterus, where it connects to the vagina. It dilates during childbirth.

Uterus

Also known as the womb, the organ where the fertilized egg implants and the baby develops before birth.

Menstruation

Blood and other tissues from the lining break off from the uterus and pass through the vagina and out of the body.

The organ where sperm are stored and mature until they leave the body.
