How to find limit of an as n → infinity.
Divide every term in numerator + denominator by HIGHEST power of n.
Geometric Series Test
If |r| < 1 then the series converges to a / (1-r).
If |r| > 1 then the series diverges.
Divergence Test
If limn→∞ an ≠ 0, then the infinite series an diverges.
Integral Test
If the function f(x) is
-continuous
-positive
-decreasing
from [k,∞) and f(n) = an, then the series
converges if the integral converges and
diverges if the integral diverges.
