Creation
Production of material & immaterial things in their whole substance made by God out of nothing. Humans are created directly by God & have a unique soul and free will.
Trinity
Central mystery of the Christian faith that God exists as a communion of three distinct and interrelated divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Covenant
A solemn promise between human beings or between God and a human being in which mutual commitments are made.
Salvation History
The pattern of specific events in human history in which God clearly reveals his presence and saving actions. Salvation was accomplished once and for all through Jesus Christ.
Sacraments
An efficacious visible sign, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, that dispenses grace

Are Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Penance (Reconciliation), Anointing of the Sick, Matrimony, and Holy Orders
Free Will
Freedom is the power, rooted in reason and will, to act or not to act, to do this or that, and so to perform deliberate actions on one’s own responsibility
Vocation
A call from God to all members of the Church to embrace a life of holiness. Can refer to the call to live as an ordained minister, a religious brother or sister, Christian marriage, or the single life.
Eucharist
The central liturgical celebration, established by Christ at the Last Supper, in which the consecrated bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ.
Messiah
The Hebrew word for “Anointed One.” The equivalent word in Greek is Christos. Refers to the coming of one who would usher in a period of righteousness and conquer sin and evil.
Incarnation
“To become flesh”- the mystery of Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, becoming man. Jesus Christ become truly man while remaining truly God
(Sanctifying) Grace
God’s free gift of divine life within us; cannot be earned
(Original) Sin
Sin is an offense against reason, truth, and right conscience; it is failure in genuine love for God, neighbor, & self
Death & Resurrection
The Good Friday event by which Jesus’ crucifixion results in his death to save us from sin. The Easter Sunday event by which Jesus rises from the dead, thereby allowing us the possibility of salvation.
