Peninsula

A peninsula is a piece of land that is almost entirely surrounded by water but is connected to the mainland on one side.

A strait is a narrow body of water that connects two larger bodies of water.

Plateau

A plateau is a flat, elevated landform that rises sharply above the surrounding area on at least one side.

Cape

High large Narrow land that extends into a body of water.

EX:

Cape of Good Hope, South Africa

Estuary

An estuary is a partially enclosed, coastal water body where freshwater from rivers and streams mixes with salt water from the ocean.

An area with water in a desert.
