How do you determine the proper working end when using the ODU Extended 11/12 explorer?
Identify the working end by orienting the instrument so the tip and its lateral surface contact the tooth surface; select the end whose tip is in proper position for exploration.

Light exploratory strokes, using a short, overlapping walking stroke with a wrist-roll motion.
