Observation Method

is a systematic way of gathering useful first-hand data and information about people, events, and places

Interview Method

a method of gathering data or information from the respondents by answering a set of questions.

Structured Interview

The questions are carefully prepared in advance and sequence following a certain order.

Unstructured Interview

It is guided by an idea about the topic and the plan on how to go about it

Semi-Structured Interview

The questions are prepared ahead of time, but probing is possible using follow-up questions.

Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Method

It is a data-gathering method involving a group of individuals who share some commonality required by the study.

Document Review Method

It is a data-collecting method that does not involve any human interaction.

Passive Data Collection

Photographs, videos, blogs, vlogs, emails, and the like are taken to describe or explain a phenomenon.

Active Data Collection

It makes use of AVE materials as a point of discussion and reflection that could draw out reaction or responses.
