  • My typical school day:

    • During school my favorite classes are orchestra + leadership

      • Orchestra: where I play principal 2nd violin

      • Leadership which I'm in because the executive president 

        • Homecoming

        • assemblies

    • After school I’m involved in a few clubs and sports

      • Chess club: planning a tournament this weekend with over 300 signups

What challenges have you faced?

  • Tournament, first big thing I planned in leadership

    • Daunting and had to do lots of communication

    • Learned a lot about community

  • More confident leader, hosted same tournament last year and will host one this weekend

  • Transferred skills to ASB and held Homecoming for 1200 people

  •  Very involved, pretty busy

    • solution: trying to delegate tasks and saying no because I’m a people pleaser, which makes me even busier

Why MIT?

  1. The department of biological engineering has a research focus in Tissue Engineering that I want to look at, and a minor in Biomedical engineering that I want to earn

    1. as a whole the BE department is highly ranked and academically rigorous

  2. traditions like MIT Mystery Hunt (I love puzzles) or the Hacks (want to witness the pranks)

Play tennis with friends, playing fun games like Sitting Duck or doubles.
