My typical school day:
During school my favorite classes are orchestra + leadership
Orchestra: where I play principal 2nd violin
Leadership which I'm in because the executive president
Homecoming

After school I’m involved in a few clubs and sports
Chess club: planning a tournament this weekend with over 300 signups
What challenges have you faced?
Tournament, first big thing I planned in leadership
Daunting and had to do lots of communication
Learned a lot about community
More confident leader, hosted same tournament last year and will host one this weekend
Transferred skills to ASB and held Homecoming for 1200 people
What weaknesses do you have? (40% weakness 60% solution)
Very involved, pretty busy
solution: trying to delegate tasks and saying no because I’m a people pleaser, which makes me even busier

Why MIT?
The department of biological engineering has a research focus in Tissue Engineering that I want to look at, and a minor in Biomedical engineering that I want to earn
as a whole the BE department is highly ranked and academically rigorous
traditions like MIT Mystery Hunt (I love puzzles) or the Hacks (want to witness the pranks)
What do you do for fun?
Play tennis with friends, playing fun games like Sitting Duck or doubles.
What STEM experiences have you had?
In PNNL: mass spectrometers (proteomics) and AI (applied battery research).
In Robotics: FLL, and FTC
