What factors effect diffusion

temperature - heated molecules have more kinetic energy to diffuse quicker
surface area - higher surface area the higher rate of diffusion as there is more surface for molecules to pass
difference in concentration - steeper concentration gradient means quicker diffusion

what is the experiment to investigate diffusion explain the results

1. Fill a glass with water.

2. Add sugar to the surface without stirring.

3. Observe sugar dissolving and spreading through the water and add food coloring to visualize diffusion.

Results:
Sugar moves from high concentration to low, spreading throughout the water.
