Avoidant Personality Disorder
TOo sensitive to criticism or rejection, feeling inadequate, inferior, or unattractive; avoidance of work activities that require interpersonal contact; socially inhibited, timid, and isolated, avoiding new activities or meeting strangers; extreme shyness in social situations and personal relationships; fear of disapproval, embarassment, or r ridicule; wants to have relationships with others but too anxious about engaging (EX: CHARLIE BROWN)
EDependent Personality Disorder
Dependency on others and feeling the need to be taken care of; clingy behavior towards others; lack of self-confidence; need for reassurance from others to even make small decisions; difficulty disagreeing with others, fearing disapproval; tolerance of poor or abusive treatement, even when other options are available; urgent need to start a new relationships when a close one has ended (EX: CINDERELLA)
Obssessive Compulsive Personality Disorder
Obsession with orderliness and rules; extremem perfectionism, resulting in dysfunction and distress when perfection is not achieved - not following through on projects if it is not perfect; desire to be in control of people, tasks and situations, and inability to delegate tasks; neglect of friends and enjoyable activities due to obsession with work; rigid and stuborn, inflexible about morality, ethics, or values; tight, miserly control over budgeting and spending money (EX: STEVE JOBS)
Histrionic Personality Disorder (CB)
Constantly seeking attention; excessively emotional, dramatic, or sexually provocative to gain attention'; easily influenced by others; shallow, rapidly changing emotions; excessive concern with physical appearance (EX: REGINA GEORGE)
Borderline Personality Disorder (CB)
Impulsive and risky behavior, such as having unsafe sex, gambling, or binge eating; unstable or fragile self-image and intense relationships; up and down moods; suicidal behavior or threats or self injury'; intense fear of being alone or abandoned; ongoing feelings of emptiness; intense anger and stress (EX: A CRAZY EX)
Narcissitic Personality Disorder (CB)
Have a sense or entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration; feel they are superior to others; self-inflation, focusing on accomplishments and success; exaggerate achievements and talents; obssess with success and status; desire the need to be recognized; need for constant praise and inflation of self; cannot see the point of view or read the feelings of others (EX: DONALD TRUMP)
Antisocial Personality Disorder
Persistant lying, stealing, and conning of others; problems with the law; repeated violation of the rights of others; aggressive, often violent behavior; lack of remorse forbehavior; using charm to expolit and harm others; conduct disorder is usually a precursor to this disorder (EX: THE JOKER)
Schizoid Personality Disorder (CA)
Lack of interest in social or personal relationships, preferring to be alone; limited range of emotional expression; inability to take pleasure in most activities; inability topick up normal social cues; appearance of being cold or indifferent to others; little or no sexual desires (EX: SQUIDWARD)
Schizotypal Personality Disorder (CA)
Peculiar dress, thinking and beliefs; flat emotions or inappropriate emotional responses; lack of close interpersonal relationships - anxious in social settings; paranormal or superstitious beliefs; “magical thinking";” belief that certain casual incidents or events have hidden messages meant only for you (EX: CULT LEADERS)
Paranoid Personality Disorder (CA)
Disrupt and suspicion of others and their motives; belief that others are out to harm you; suspicion of the loyalty or trustworthiness of others; reluctant to tell others information as they may use it against you; assuming worst intent, feeling that things others say are negative or harmful; tendency to hold grudges; unjustified, reccurent suspicion that spouse or sexual partner is unfaithful (EX: ADOLF HITLER)
Precontemplation
STAGE ONE OF STAGE OF CHANGE: “not willing to change'“; not intending to take action in the forseeable future (next 6 months); multiple unsuccessful attempts at change can lead to demoralization about the ability to change
CLinician should educate them on the consequences their behavior may have
Contemplation
STAGE TWO OF STAGE OF CHANGE: “thinking about the change”; planning to change in the next 6 months but have not committed to taking action to change (YET)
Clinician should talk through the pros and cons of changing the behavior with the client’ get to the root of WHY the client wants to change; help them develop a pla set goals towards making a change
Preparation
THIRD STAGE OF CHANGE: “ready and determined to take action"; making small steps toward changing the behavior
Clinician should help the client work towards their goals
Action
FOURTH STAGE OF CHANGE: “Recently changed behaviors (within the last 6 months). Modifying their problem behavior or acquiring new healthy behaviors
The clinician track progress; encourage them to stay committed to the process; provide support and encouragement to the client
Maintenance
People have sustained their behavior change for an extended amount of time and intend to maintain the behavior change going forward
CLinician should continue to provide support and encouragement
Relapse
Client does not continue with the new behavior and reverts back to the previous behavior; may be for a short period or a more sustained period
Clinician should help the client regroup and normalize the relapse; re-educate the client on the cycle of change; discuss what led to the relapse and discuss the impact this had on overall progress
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (Inattention Criteria)
Sex or more for 6 months, five for 17+ years
Fails to give close attention to details/makes careless mistakes; difficulty sustaining attention in tasks/play activities; does not listen when spoken to directly;
