What is Facilitated Diffusion?
Passive transport where molecules travel across the cell membrane through channel/carries
What is the flow of substances?
High to low concentration
What is DF for?
Molecules that cannot pass through lipid bilayer
What is the differences between carrier and channel?
Channel - forms pores for specific molecules to pass through
Carrier - Binds to molecules and changes shape to transport them across the membrane (they can also be active transport)
Why is it important?
Helps cells regulate vital substances,
Maintains homeostasis
Essential for Never Function, Muscle Contraction, Glucose usage
