What does the behavioral perspective focus on?
it focuses on observable stimuli and responses and regards nearly all behavior as a result of conditioning and reinforcement

in context of aggressive children, an aggressive child is more likely to demonstrate aggressive behavior if the behavior is rewarded than if it is punished
What is the cognitive perspective concerned with?
mental processes such as perceiving, remembering, reasoning, deciding and problem solving
Cognitive approach assumes that:
1) we can only understand what organism do only by studying mental processes
2) we can objectively study mental processes by looking at specific behaviors but interpreting them in context of mental processes
