1.Follow the STOP, DROP, REVIEW checklist process.
2. Verify door safety straps are properly stowed.
3.Verify door operating handle is fully rotated, ensuring door is closed and locked.
4.Place door streamer across door viewing window.
5.Remove grit bar from slide cover brackets and place into floor brackets.
6.Ensure door is armed by verifying grit bar is installed correctly into the floor brackets and Velcro patch over manual inflation handle is visible and accesible.
7.Immediately report any type of door arming abnormality or irregularity to the Int. Purser/Purser and pilots.
8.Cross check assigned door(s).
9.Standby for All Call.
What is the door disarming procedures on a B737?
1.Follow the Stop, Drop, and Review checklist process.
2.Remove girt bar from floor brackets.
3.Center and firmly secure girt bar, not girt bar collars, into slide cover brackets. The girt bar is centered when the plastic or metal collars on both sides of the girt bar are installed on either side of the slide cover brackets.
4. Ensure door is disarmed:
• Verify slide cover brackets are not bent, girt bar is secured to the brackets with tension, preventing the girt bar from falling out and interfering with normal door operation, and the girt collars are installed on either side of the slide cover brackets.
• Verify no excessive slide material is dragging on the floor, which may interfere with normal door operation.
5. Immediately report any type of door disarming abnormality or irregularity to the International Purser/Purser and pilots.
6. Remove door streamer from across door viewing window.
7. Cross check assigned door(s).
8. Standby for All Call.
