William was lucky because the winds changed when harold was battling someone else. Harold had come to battle without a full army and tired. He had also fell for williams trick and got shot in the eye. This was all lucky for william

Harold overall because he had taken his army corageousley through two battles in a row. Although harolds army had a clear lack of dicipline because they had ignored his order not to break the wall.

William was more prepared because he had lots of ships and soilders. He had also taken weapons with him as well.
