Pi's gait changes throughout the play.
Starts off wobbly and lacks confidence as he hasn't been on a ship before
He then becomes more stable except in storms.
This shows progression and that he has been at sea for a long time effectively.

When he first sees RP his voice is high and fast and this shows that he is scared.
He then uses a deep slow voice to try and control him
This shows his knowledge of animals and also how afraid he is and his need to control RP

When he sees his mother's ghost he is very shocked (wide eyes ect.)
His whole body freezes then relaxes to show the transition from shock to sadness when he realises she must be dead.
