Fat cells. composed of adipocytes. Energy storage, thermal insulation, shock absorption

Fills with fat and pushes the cells nucleus to the edge of the cell

Dense regular connective tissue

Abundance of college, collagen is oriented in the same direction, found in the tendons and ligaments

Dence irregular connective tissue

Abundance of collagen, disorganized(pointing in many different directions), strong in many different directions, found in the reticular layer of the skin

Reticular layer

Dense irregular tissue that forms the thick reticular layer

Papi-ll-ary layer(red)

Areolar connective tissue. The thinner, superficial layer of the demis made of areolar connective tissue

Dermal papillae

Forms the wavy border between the dermis and epidermis
