PROGRAM

SUBPROJECT
These are segments of the original project that are divided according to specialty, responsibility, phase, area, or other criteria. To the person in charge of a subproject, the subproject is a project, except that he/she has to consider not only the internal relationships among its activities but the external relationships as well (with activities in other subprojects in the same project). For example, in a residential or commercial development project, building the infrastructure may be regarded as a subproject. In fact, building the sewer system in the development can be a subproject (to the entire development project) or even a sub-subproject (to the infrastructure subproject).
PROJECT PLANNING
“The process of choosing the one method and order of work to be adopted for a project from all the various ways and sequences in which it could be done’’
SCHEDULING
This §is the determination of the timing and sequence of operations in the project and their assembly to give the overall completion time. As mentioned previously, scheduling focuses on one part of the planning effort
PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Enables organizations to execute projects effectively and efficiently
TRIPLE CONSTRAINTS OF PROJECT MANAGING
SCOPE, TIME, BUDGET/COST
PROJECT MANAGER
The person assigned by the performing organization to lead the team that is responsible for achieving project objectives
MAJOR PHASES

POST-PROJECT ANALYSIS
SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION
The design, construction, and operation of projects have environmental, economic, and social impacts. Sustainable construction means evaluating these potential impacts and selecting strategies that emphasize the positive impacts while minimizing the negative impacts. The overall sustainability of a project is greatly influenced by the design, but the builder can influence the environmental and social impact of the construction operations.
PROJECT ORGANIZATION

DESIGN STRUCTURE MATRIX
-It is a simple, compact and visual representation of a system or project in the form of a square matrix.
-is the basic matrix. It is used to relate entities of one kind to each other, e.g. the tasks that constitute a complete project, and it can be used to identify appropriate teams, workgroups, and an ideal sequence of how the tasks can be arranged.
