Brain Rave
Insomnia brought on by persistent, racing thoughts, old memories, or unsettling experiences.
Peachmeat
The extra-tangy or super-soft, sweet fleshy part of a peach.
Yogurt Male
A sophisticated, quietly confident man considered superior to alpha or sigma males.
Floordrobe
A ‘storage system’ where clothes are kept in piles on the floor instead of in closets or drawers.
Felony Ring
Residue that forms around the nostril soon after snorting a substance.
Bloke
A man; British informal term for a male person.
Lad
Boy or young man.
Bonkers
Mad or crazy (not necessarily negative).
Draft
Slightly stupid; mildly silly or foolish (not strongly offensive).
To Leg It
To run away, usually to escape trouble.
Trollied
British slang for being drunk.
Plastered
British slang for being drunk.
Gobsmacked
Utterly shocked or amazed beyond belief.
Knackered
Extremely tired or exhausted.
Lost the Plot
To become angry, irrational, or act ridiculously.
Taking the Piss
To mock or be sarcastic toward someone or something.
Pissed
Drunk (British usage).
Throwing a Wobbly
Having a tantrum, typically used for adults who should know better.
A Cuppa
Short for ‘a cup of tea.’
Bloody
Mild expletive used to add emphasis (e.g., ‘bloody brilliant’).
Can’t Be Arsed
Can’t be bothered to do something; lack of motivation.
Chuffed
Very pleased or delighted.
Skint
Broke; having no money.
Fiver
A five-pound note.
Tenner
A ten-pound note.
Bog
British slang for a toilet.
Bog Roll
Toilet paper.
Bird
British slang for a girl or woman.
Mug
A fool or easily tricked person.
Chav
A young hooligan prone to starting fights or causing trouble.
Git
Unpleasant, incompetent, or idiotic person (usually male).
Cheeky
Slightly rude or disrespectful in a playful or charming way.
Slag Off
To verbally attack or make fun of someone; backstab.
Sod
Mild insult for a person, roughly ‘you devil/idiot.’
Grafting
Scottish slang for a lad trying hard to make a girl like him.
Muppet
Ignorant, clueless, or foolish person.
Pants
Underwear; also slang for something bad or poor quality.
Prat
Self-important and stupid person; delusional fool.
Nosh
Food; a meal or snack.
Buzzin’
Very excited or happy.
Pied Off
Rejected, dumped, or abandoned.
