The Korean War

Korea is split in half (EVERYONE ACT SURPRISED) NK is Communist, SK is Democratic. Basically, USSR sets up strong commie gov and US sets up weak dem gov so when both foreign nations leave Korea, NK invades the South and war ensues.

Cuban Missile Crisis

US sees bomb sights in Cuba and Soviet cargo ships with BOMBS going to Cuba so Kennedy sends the US Navy to stop any planting of them. (this almost causes nuclear war) (but it doesnt!!) The deal is USSR doesn’t plant any bombs and US doesn’t invade. (this leads to a lot of Civil War in Cuba due to default protection by the USSR)
