Angle
Formed by two rays with a common endpoint called the vertex; measured in degrees (°)
Vertex
The common endpoint of two rays that form an angle.
Opposite ray
Two rays that share the same endpoint and form a straight line (180°).
Adjacent Angles
Two angles that share a side and a vertex but do not overlap.
Acute Angle
An angle that measures between 0° and 90°.
Right Angle
An angle that measures exactly 90°.
Obtuse Angle
An angle that measures between 90° and 180°.
Straight Angle
An angle that measures exactly 180°.
Complementary Angles
Two angles whose measures add up to 90°.
Supplementary Angles
Two angles whose measures add up to 180°.
Linear Pair
A pair of adjacent angles whose non-common sides form a straight line; their sum is 180°.
Vertical Angles
Opposite angles formed by two intersecting lines; always congruent.
Perpendicular Angles
Two lines, segments, or rays that intersect to form a 90° angle. (Upside down T symbol)
