Occlude one nares, present an aromatic object near the open nares

Deviated Septum

common finding and not significant unless airflow is obstructed

Frontal sinuses

place your thumbs just below the medial eyebrows and your fingers on the side of the head. Firmly press upward on the ridge.

Maxillary Sinuses

Place your thumbs below the cheekbones and your fingers on the side of the head. Firmly press upward on the cheekbones

Sign of chronic allergies or acute sinusitis

if pt has pain when being palpated for the frontal and maxillary sinuses

blood loss, cyanosis with hypoxemia, and vesicular lesions with oral herpes

pallor signs on lip
