Internal membrane

creates sub environments with diff chemical compositions; additional surface area for membrane bound activities; package things for transport within, btwn compartments, and even outside/inside cell

Motor proteins

proteins that give an indirectional push to their cargo. Two kinds: kinesins & dyneins

Microtubules

the "roads" on the cytoskeleton that are used by motor proteins to transport cargo. Larger than actin filaments

Microfilaments

smaller tubes than microtubules and act like alleyways. Made of actin filaments

Vesicle membrane sugars & proteins

allow motor protein to recognize its cargo; letting two membranes to recognize each other and fuse; regulating fusion

Myosin

motor protein that support cell shape, motility and intracellular transport. Interacts with actin filaments by crosslinking them which prevents actin from sliding but can also move them around through ATP hydrolysis. Binds to other myosin

Myosin V

has 2 heads, doesn't bind with other myosins so it carries other cargo (on microfilaments)
