Pt. 1- Political Maps

-Shows features that human’s created, like states, countries, provinces, and cities

-These features are labeled, and lines show boundaries between different areas.

Pt. 2- Physical Maps

-Shows natural features of geography

-Can show elevation and relief (elevation is the height of a physical feature above sea level, relief is the change in elevation from one place to another). Maps show this by using color.

Pt. 1- Examples of Political Maps

-Ex: Between different countries.

Pt. 2- Examples of Physical Maps.

-Ex: Landforms (mountains, plains, valleys, and deserts), oceans, lakes, rivers, and other bodies of water
