A OI answers à qui? (to for whom) or à quoi? (to for what) and uses à

Indirect Object

Je parle à Marie. → Je lui parle.

Direct Object Pronouns le, la, les

• le = masculine singular

• la = feminine singular

• les = plural

Direct Object Rule —> Replace the noun and place before the verb

J’aime les fleurs (I love flowers)→ Je les aime (I love them)

Object Indirect pronouns (lui and leur)

• lui = to him / to her

• leur = to them
