Early Bird Road — Age Requirement

16 years old (Must enroll in driving school)

Early Bird Road — Permit Type

Special Learner Permit (purchased by driving school instructor after 6 hours of training)

Early Bird Road — Permit Restrictions

• No driving between 11:01 PM-5:00 AM

• No electronic devices

• Supervising driver must sit in front seat

• Passengers limited to parents/guardians + 1 additional passenger

• Everyone must wear seat belts

• Must display red decal

Must practice for 6 months and complete 50 hours of driving before road test.

• Must pass road test

• 1 year supervised driving

• Same restrictions (curfew, no electronics, passenger limits, seat belts, red decal)

Must be 18 years old and upgrade to Basic License.

GDL

a multi stage driver licensing system, the system gradually introduces driving privillges to first time drivers, extends their practice driving time and requires a minmum age of 18 in order to receive an unrestricted drivers license. Failure to adhere to GDL restrictions may result in a $100 fine or suspension of motorist driving privileges
