Why is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) important to Muslims?
He is the last and greatest Prophet, challenged people's sinful way of living, and fled from Makkah to Madinah (Hijra). He received revelations for more than 20 years, preached despite backlash, and his Sunnah is still used as a source of Islamic law (Shariah).
Why is Prophet Ibrahim important to Muslims?
He was very obedient to God, refused to worship idols, and is referred to as 'took Ibrahim as a friend' in the Quran.
Why is Prophet Adam important to Muslims?
God gave him understanding, and he passed this knowledge to the rest of the human race through his descendants.
Why do Muslims say Inshallah?
It means 'God willing' and they say it after making a promise to show their belief that they are not in control of what happens, only Allah is.
Why do Muslims run between two hills and drink Zamzam water?
To re-enact the story of Ibrahim's wife searching for water for her son, then Allah rewarded her search with water.
Why do Muslims throw stones at the pillar at Mina?
To re-enact Ibrahim throwing stones at Shaytan who was tempting him to disobey Allah.
Why do Muslims do Qurbani?
To re-enact the story of Ibrahim about to sacrifice his son.
Why are prophets important to Muslims?
Because they provided a method of communication between God and human beings and are role models.
Who was the Quran revealed to and how long for?
To Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) for around 22 years.
Who rebuilt the Kaaba?
Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ishmael; Prophet Adam built it initially.
Who do Shias believe was the successor of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the first Imam?
Ali.
Who did Sunnis elect as their first Caliph?
Abu Bakr.
Who built the original Kaaba and how was it destroyed?
Prophet Adam built it, and it was destroyed by the flood at the time of Prophet Noah.
Where is the original Quran?
In Heaven.
What will happen to evil people after life?
They will dwell amid scorching wind and scalding water (Quran).
