Company commander (CO)
Ownership of all the company does
Exercises command through the chain of command
Supervises PL in enforcement of policies, procedures, and standards of ocs
Reports the company to scheduled area of training at the correct time with proper uniform and required equipment
Plan, make timely decisions, issue orders, delegate tasks, supervise company activities
Ensure proper classroom and break procedures are followed by company
Notifies senior platoon trainer or other cadre personnel of emergencies or unusual occurrences asap
Conducts spot inspections
Maintains company in an inspection ready status
First sergeant (1SG)
Coordinates and monitors all matters to meals, logistics, and administrative actions with cadre first sergeant
Forms the company and receives the report
Maintains active communication and supervision through the platoon sergeants
Maintains an accurate personnel accountability status report
Keeps the CO and and XO informed of all company matters
Insures company rosters are current
Ensures all details are completed in a timely manner
Ensures that CQs are at designated locations and rotated according to local policy
Executive officer (XO)
COs chief advisor and administrator
Relieves CO of administrative burdens through proper management of resources
Commands company in absence of CO
Prepares and distributes accurate daily bulletins based on information from the training schedule and senior platoon trainer
Ascertains the exact location and route of travel to training areas and informs the CO
Obtains announcements to be read to the company at formations from the cadre, senior platoon trainer, and first sergeant
Platoon leader (PL)
Responsible for the discipline, welfare, morale, and control of all subordinates
Supervises the PSG and SL in the performance of assigned tasks
Maintains platoon in inspection ready status
Conducts spot inspections of individuals, platoon equipment, and platoon areas for appearance, proper care and preparedness for training
Disseminates all necessary information to platoon members
Briefs platoon trainers on the status of the platoon
Ensures all personnel comply with regulatory guidance
Platoon sergeant (PSG)
Provides assistance to the PL and assumes command of the platoon in their absence
Maintains accountability of personnel at all times
Ensures platoon and individual equipment is maintained, cleaned, and accounted for
Enforces the regulations and directives of OCS
Assists the PL in conducting inspections of platoon areas and details
Disseminates pertinent information to the platoon on a timely basis
Coordinates with candidate 1SG on all administrative matters dealing with the platoon
Ensures compliance with all regulatory guidance and directives by OCS cadre, faculty and staff
Ensures training is conducted in a safe manner
Enforces discipline of troops during movement between training event
Squad leader (SL)
Responsible for direct supervision of all squad members
Ensure all personnel is are in the required uniform with proper materials and equipment at each formation, class, or assigned detail
Disseminates pertinent information to the squad in a timely manner
Ensures that squad equipment is accounted for, clean and serviceable
Maintains accountability of squad members to include the location and activity
Ensure that the squad living areas are inspection ready at all times
Reports changes in personnel status to PSG
