if using a caine patch apply to most painful area after remove old patcht and washing

do not use heat over patch

monitor yoour ekg and cardiac assessment for large dosese

ensure gag reflex has returned if oral spray

ensure patient safety if nerve block used

if using patch, remove old patch, cleanse site, and apply new patch
