Simple Random Sample (SRS)
n individuals from the population are chosen in such a way that every individual has an equal chance of being selected
Stratified Sample
The population is divided into groups called Strata, based on similar CHARACTERISTICS, then individuals are RANDOMLY selected from each group.
Cluster Sample
The population is divided into groups called clusters, based on LOCATION and CONVENIENCE, then 1 or 2 clusters are randomly selected, and EVERYONE in those groups are sampled
Systematic Sample
every Nth individual is chosen from a selected starting point in the population
Convenience Sample
individuals are chosen from a group that is easily ACCESSIBLE to the researcher
Voluntary Response Sample
individuals volunteer for the sample
