Rules (Don'ts)

-Knowingly Selling Alcohol to a customer under the age of 21 years old

-Selling Alcohol to a customer without checking ID and wristband

-Selling Alcohol to any customer after 2:10 a.m.

-Selling alcohol to a blatantly over intoxicated person

Money

1.) Giving away or discounting drinks will result in your immediate termination. There will be no discussion or second chances.

2.) The first person on for a late night shift is responsible for counting the tips.

a.) One dollar bills are paper clipped in stacks of $25.00.

b.) Five dollar bills are paper clipped in stacks of $100.00.

c.) Ten dollar bills are paper clipped in stacks of $100.00.

d.) It is also your responsibility to roll all of your quarters ($10.00).

Uniforms

1. You may wear jeans, khakis, leggings, or shorts (non-athletic).

2. Wear a Brick Street Shirt at all weekend nighttime shifts

(unless asked to dress up for a party).

3. Men must wear shirts with sleeves.

4. If your hair extends past your shoulders, it must be put up.

5. No open toed shoes. Keep in mind you'll be on your feet your whole shift.

6. Dress for service at any standard sports bar (daytime/happy hour) or nightclub (after 9pm).

Phone Calls

Bartenders are responsible for answering the phone.

1. Do not give out employee schedules or phone numbers over the phone.

2. When the phone call is for the manager, find out who it is and what the call is regarding before you tell the manager. They'll decide if they want to take the call or not.

3. When you take a message for someone else, make sure to write down all pertinent information and give it to the manager on duty.

4. It is the bartender's responsibility to answer the phone. When answering the phone, you will say, "Thank you for calling Brick Street. This is (your name) how can I help you?"

5. No cell phones while you're working.

Misc. Rules

-You must ask to see an I.D when anyone wants to open a tab. Only that person can put drinks on that tab unless specified otherwise by the customer.

-All of our drinks are double drinks (2.25 oz). If someone only wants a single you may sell them that for the cost of one shot. In this case they will only be getting 1.5 ounces of liquor.
