What does the term socialisation mean?
The process by which someone learns the culture, norms, laws, and values of their society.
What are the two main types of socialisation?
Primary socialisation and secondary socialisation.
What is primary socialisation?
Early childhood learning, usually in families, where we acquire basic behavior patterns, language, and skills.
What is secondary socialisation?
The process that begins during later childhood and continues throughout adult life, where we learn society’s norms.
