Integumentary System
Consists of the skin, hair, and nails, primarily responsible for protection and thermoregulation.
Nervous System
Includes the brain, spinal cord, and nerves; regulates other body systems.
Endocrine System
Composed of hormone-secreting glands like the pituitary and thyroid; secretes regulatory hormones.
Skeletal System
Made up of bones and cartilages; provides movement and support.
Muscular System
Consists of skeletal muscles; facilitates movements of the skeleton.
Circulatory System
Includes the heart, blood vessels, and lymphatic vessels; responsible for movement of blood and lymph.
Immune System
Comprises red bone marrow and lymphoid organs; protects the body against invading pathogens.

Made up of lungs and airways; enables gas exchange.
Urinary System
Includes kidneys, ureters, and urethra; regulates blood volume and composition.
Alimentary System
Composed of the mouth, stomach, intestines, and associated organs; responsible for food breakdown.
Reproductive System
Includes gonads and associated glands; ensures continuation of the human species.
Epithelial Tissue
Forms membranes that cover body surfaces and line hollow organs; classified as simple or stratified.
Connective Tissue
Characterized by a matrix of protein fibers and specialized cells; connects and supports other tissues.
Organ
Composed of two or more tissues serving different functions in the body.
Organ System
Group of organs performing related functions; humans have 11 inter-related organ systems.
