• Acts as a living tissue barrier between capillaries and nerve tissue

Microglia (nueroligia)

• Spider like cells

• motor neurons health

• phatogynic cells eat bad stuff

Ependymal (neuroglia)

• Line cavaties of brain and spinal cord

• Form protective cushion

• produce cerebrospinalfluid

Oligodendrocytes (nueroglia)

• flat extensions that wrap around a nueron

• forms the mylien sheath around the axon

Schwann cells (PNS)

• forms mylien sheaths

Satellite (PNS)

• protective cushions around nuerons

Multipolar nueron

• many poles

• many dendrites

• 1 axon

• Located: CNS motor nueron

Bipolar

• 1 dendrite

• 1 axon

• special sensory organ

Unipolar

• single process coming out of cell body

• Location: sensory nuerons of PNS

Cerebrospinal fluid

• Made by ependymal cells in the choroid plexus

• Acts as a watery cushion to protect fragile nerve endings
