• the sacred story of Jesus’ crucifixion enhances an adherents belief in the otig as reading this story allows them to be reminded of the incredible sacrifice of jesus in order to “achieve our salvation.” (CCC 461) leading to a deeper appreciation to jesus

• the sacred story of the creation story (genesis 1) answers the existnetial question of “where did i come from”
